Sour Cream and Onion Dip (From Scratch!)
I got this recipe from my husband’s Aunt Dee. It’s simply labeled as "Rye Boat Dip", but judging from the ingredients, I’d say this is sour cream and onion dip! I had a hard time finding other recipes to back up my guess, so I thought I’d post this as an example.
If you’re unfamiliar with dried beef, it’ll be in the same section as Spam and other canned meats. The stuff I use comes in a glass jar. It’s a little pricey in some stores-I’ve used only one jar and it’s been delicious.

Weber Duck
If you love bleu cheese because it bites back, you’ll love this easy delicious dip. When I made it I didn’t have the pimento spread, but it still tasted great. I didn’t bother freezing or refrigerating until firm because I wanted to eat it. I mixed the Worcestershire sauce with the rest of the ingredients instead of spreading on top. I found this recipe in Gooseberry Patch Christmas from Susan Smith in Walnutport, PA. Susan says nobody knows where the name came from, but a name isn’t necessary for something so tasty. Yummy Jambalaya
I got this recipe from the local hospitals newsletter. I have always made boxed versions of jambalaya, so gave this a shot. We loved this and I hope you do too. You can increase the heat as wanted but for us its perfect, with hot sauce on the table. I serve this with pinto beans, cornbread and fresh fruit.
